The votes are in, and the decision’s been made: Blake Shelton is PEOPLE Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2017.

“Y’all must be running out of people,” he told PEOPLE upon receiving the news.
Shelton, who is best known for his role as a judge on The Voice, is the first country musician to receive the award. He joins the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Johnny Depp, and fellow The Voice judge Adam Levine, whom Shelton is very eager to share the news with.

“As proud as I am and honoured that you guys asked me, [sticking it to Levine] is really the only thing I care about."
All jokes aside, however, Shelton is honoured to receive the title.
“I’ve been ugly my whole life. If I can be sexy for a year, I’m taking it!”
