When we talk about enduring difficulties, this lady has defined what it means to be tough.

Angelina Friedman, a 101-year-old woman is not showing signs of slowing down. Not only did she beat cancer, lived through the 1918 Influenza Pandemic and survived miscarriages, internal bleeding and sepsis, but she has now beaten COVID-19 too.

Amy Elba, an administrator at the nursing home where Friedman lives told CNN that she’s celebrating life to the fullest. She added that it just goes to show how much the world needs hope.

Friedman’s daughter, Joanne Merola told WPIX, an affiliate news outlet to CNN, that her mother is a survivor.

Angelina Friedman was born on a ship in 1918 while it was transporting immigrants from Italy to New York. Unfortunately, her mother passed while giving birth, so her two sisters helped her survive until they could reunite with their father in New York.

Friedman tested positive for COVID-19 back in March after going through a minor medical procedure at a hospital.

Her daughter explained that after her mother came back to the nursing home, she was quarantined in her room for a few weeks until she tested negative on 20th April.

The administrator of the nursing home said that the 101-year-old is still active and doing her leisure activities.

Keep on going, Angelina!
